Hermes is a unisex hat. An Olympian god in Greek religion and mythology, son of Zeus and the Pleiad Maia. He is second youngest of the Olympian gods. Hermes is a god of transitions and boundaries.
It may be shaped into a regular hat, a slouch or a Tam. It all depends on how you block it. This pattern was inspired by Barbara G. Walker “Fancy Cable Check” from A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns Book. It has been adapted for knitting a hat on the round. It has a lot of versatility, for many shapes and head sizes. I hope that you will discover your favorite style, then make one for you and one for a friend.
